The process involves:

Planning the route for the new wiring.
Drilling holes in the walls, floors, or ceilings.
Running the new wires through these holes.

This often involves “chasing” into walls, which is the process of cutting channels into the brickwork or plaster to hide the wiring.

Once the new wires are in place, the new socket can be connected and secured in the wall. The circuit is then tested thoroughly to ensure it is safe and works properly.
