Consumer Units
Our Electricians install and upgrade consumer units. All consumer units adhere to the current 17th edition regulations and required BS EN 61439 standards. Consumer units are constructed from non-combustible metal and feature the latest RCD, MCB and RCBO fuses which cut the flow of electricity in the event of a fault or accident. The fuses prevent fires, electrocution and damage to your electrical system. Dated fuse boards and consumer units can be dangerous and should be inspected. We offer free surveys and quotes for consumer unit installation.
Appliances & Circuits
Some appliances such as cookers need wiring into their own circuit. We install all electrical appliances and fit new circuits such as cooker switches where necessary. Appliances are fitted to regulations and to the manufacturer’s instructions. Once fitted, the electricians will test the appliance and circuits to make sure everything in order.
Earthing & Bonding
Whenever electrical work is undertaken the earthing and bonding (an important safety feature of the electrical system) is checked as standard. If you haven’t’ had your earthing and bonding checked in a while, it’s a good idea to have an inspection. We” ensure the system is up to the safe and legal BS7671 standard.
Electric Heating
Not every home’s connected to the gas grid so tend to use electric heating such as electric radiators, boilers, underfloor heating and storage heaters. Our electricians can install, repair and upgrade all forms of electric heating. Electric heating has become more energy-efficient over the last few years a new installation can save you money on energy costs. We also install electric towel rails and immersion heaters. Full & Partial Rewiring
We can fully rewire your home to the 17th Edition and BS7671 regulations. If you feel your wirings old and may need upgrading one of our electricians can undertake a survey to determine whether its time for a rewire or not. Domestic wiring should be checked every ten years by a qualified electrician. If you’re undertaking refurbishments or having an extension built, we can part rewire your home.

Outdoor Power
Outdoor sockets eliminate the use of extension leads, which are inconvenient and a tripping hazard. By installing outdoor sockets, you can easily plug-in power tools and portable outdoor lighting. Outdoor sockets are weatherproof and feature robust sprung covers that hold plugs in place and prevent water from getting in.
PAT Testing
We offer PAT (portable appliance testing) for homeowners and landlords. An electrician inspects and tests all handheld portable appliances with leads such as irons, kettles and toasters ensuing their safe for use and don’t pose a shock or fire hazard.
RCD Upgrades & Replacement
RCD, MCB and RCBO fuses that trip continuously may need changing. The fuse is probably passed. It’s best or developed a fault (if there’s no other issue causing the tripping). When new appliances and circuits are added to the home, additional fuses are fitted into the consumer unit.
Sockets & Switches
Extra sockets can be added anywhere in the home to cope with the rising energy demands of modern-day living. Existing sockets can be upgraded. Modern sockets include circuit breakers and USB ports so you can use the socket while charging your phone. Sockets are available in a range of colours, materials and finishes. Electricians can easily upgrade your old white plastic sockets. The same goes for switches which can be upgraded and matched to your new sockets.
Smoke Alarms
Electric smoke alarms with back up batteries are a legal requirement for rented properties. Privately owned homes can have wired smoke alarms fitted also. Alarms are connected together and placed in various places on each floor. In the event of a fire, all the alarms will sound simultaneously alerting everyone in the home. We can also fit carbon monoxide alarms while were’ there an essential safety feature.
